One block from UT. Open since the Strip was different. Still the bar Knoxville comes back to every week.

How IT
STARTED.

Literboard opened on Cumberland Ave because there was a gap. The Strip had bars, but not a bar. Not a place where students actually stayed, where regulars built tabs and came back next Wednesday.

We put a full kitchen in, kept the lights low, and started Wing Wednesday. Word spread. The rest followed.

1848 Cumberland Ave. One block from campus. Open Wednesday through Saturday, 8pm to 3am.

Knoxvilles worst kept secret.

ATMOSPHERE

Dark enough to feel like a real bar. Loud enough that you stay. The kind of place that has regulars who've been coming since before you got to Knoxville, and first-timers who feel like they belong by the second round.

No pretense. No cover on most nights. Just Cumberland Ave at its best.
